Integrated Behavioral and Educational Services, LLC helps children with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities to develop the communication, academic and social skills necessary so that they can successfully participate in their communities. Dr. Francine Baffa, the director, has been in the special education field for over 15 years and specializes in autism spectrum disorders. Using principles of behavior analysis and elements of Precision Teaching, Dr Baffa and her team help students to learn new skills and practice so that they are able to achieve effortless performance and know how to apply to new situations. We offer design and implementation of verbal behavior and natural environment programming to teach receptive and expressive language, play skills, self help skills, social skills, theory of mind (social cognition), executive functioning, pre-academic and academic skills. Services provided include: intensive 1:1 instruction (discrete trial, natural environment teaching, errorless teaching), shadowing in school and community locations, facilitation of peer play dates, consultative services, training for school districts and service providers, and collaboration with speech and occupational therapy professionals. Additionally, we develop and implement behavior support plans, conduct ABLLS (assessment), develop IEPs and IFSPs, and participate in PPT meetings. Services are available in your home and community locations throughout NY and CT. Each child's program is highly individualized to meet his or her needs, and is closely monitored to assure rapid progress.
